Belfast is in Midcoast, Maine

That means we're about 2 hours north of Portland and 45 minutes south of Bangor. We'll pick you up in Bangor. Buses, trains & planes can get you there. There's also a bus to Belfast from Boston.

It's quiet in winter (but there are traffic lights--it's not deserted.) It runs half-pace in summer. We're on a walking path, 2 miles from town, where there's a co-op for organics and a good library, decent coffee, fantastic hardware store, nation's oldest shoe store.  Having a car helps--that way you can explore the region--but not necessary: We'll drive you into town when needed.
